I should preface this by saying that I have never seen a live action Disney movie. I always thought that they were pointless cash ins that took away all the magic and creativity that the original films had and replaced them with ugly cg that is completely devoid of any style or charm. But you know what? I was pleasantly surprised by Dumbo! I thought it had a lot of genuine heart to it and I thought it captured, if not improved on the spirit of the original. I was thoroughly entertained throughout the running time. It kind of made me want to go back and watch all of the other live action Disney movies because if they were all this decent, I may have been missing out on something great!
